Location: Trau Garden is located in Hoc Mon District, 10km northwest of Ho Chi Minh City. The lifestyle of this country commune still retains its traditional rustic features. Horse-drawn carts make up the chief means of transport. The locals continue growing betel trees and building houses in traditional style.

The most distinguished characters of the local people are their love for martial arts, self-sacrifice for just causes, righteousness, and mutual affection. This land wins kudos for the heroic struggles of its people against the French and American invaders.People here regard betel growing their hard currency earner. Tourists will find in the commune a carpet of everlasting green of betel leaves. The betel trees grow so thick that, when standing under their foliage, one can hardly get wet in the rain. Tourists can go by horse-drawn cart to sightsee the whole commune, and to talk with the local people who are open and hospitable. They will tell visitors about the heroism of their ancestors during the two resistance wars.

The betel gardens have such lush and green foliage that one can stand under these frames when it is raining without getting wet.
